Business Overview
It was held with the aim of conveying to the world the undiscovered new charm of the combination of the shakuhachi and pipe organ instruments.
By commissioning new works, he developed a repertoire of works for both instruments and tried to spread them to the world, transcending cultures and national borders.

Profile
[Kensuke Ohira]
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. He went to Germany in 2010 on a DAAD scholarship. He studied ecclesiastical and contemporary music at the Würzburg and Munich music universities.
In 2013, he was certified as a national musician, and became a member of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Study Program for Emerging Artists. Won the first prize at the 2016 ION Nuremberg International Organ Competition. From then until 2020, he was involved in a wide range of musical projects as organist for the Baden-Württemberg-Stiftsschule. He has been invited as a soloist by the Church of Our Lady (Dresden) and St. Paul's Cathedral (London).
He returned to Japan completely in 2021, and is currently serving as Principal Organist of Hijigaoka Church and Artistic Director of Ensemble Muromachi.
