Yamamoto Masashi Contrabass Solo in Astark Contemporary Music Festival/Europe Performance

Business Overview
Performance by contrabass player Yamamoto Masashi in three cities in Poland and Berlin, Germany.
He was invited to the Astak Contemporary Music Festival in Warsaw, where he premiered Wojciech Bleach's "Axis B" to great acclaim. This new work, which also has a theatrical aspect, is a magnificent work that traverses the stage space for about 50 minutes and emphasizes different kinds of sounds and techniques in each movement. In Gdansk and Elbronk, he played concerts with composer Michał Jakaszek and captivated audiences with his improvisation of modulated contrabass. In Berlin, he held a solo concert sponsored by Work Verlag, a publisher specializing in experimental and contemporary music. Unaccompanied works by Hinako Takagi, Jacob Druckmann and Daniel Dadamo, and Axis B were premiered in Germany, and were highly acclaimed.
Yamamoto Masashi's avant-garde approach raised the artistic quality of solo contrabass, and this performance greatly communicated its potential to the world.
