採択概況[PDF

◆Number of applications (number of acceptances): 445 (68)

《Music Field》
◆Number of applications (number of acceptances): 103 (11)
Breakdown: Artistic Creation Activities in Tokyo 84(8)
International Art Exchange Activities 19(3)
◆Adoption rate: 10.7%
In the first period, there were 103 applications, the second highest number ever, and about 60% of the total applications were for the first time. We have received more and more diverse applications from genres and businesses that have not used the subsidy system until now. This trend was also reflected in the activity stage, with 50% in the activity foundation formation period and more than 30% in the activity expansion and development period, and many projects were aimed at triggering new initiatives and stepping up activities. In addition, the amount of international art exchange activities adopted exceeded 50% of the total amount adopted in the field of music. In the first application, there were mistakes in filling in and insufficient documents. Please refer to the guidelines and create a text that captures the appeal points of your business.

《Theater Field》
◆Number of applications (number of acceptances): 138 (17)
Breakdown: Artistic Creation Activities in Tokyo 127 (14)
International Art Exchange Activities 11(3)
◆Adoption rate: 12.3%
The number of applications was 138, down from the record high of 160 in the first fiscal year of 2024, but it was still the highest number of applications by field. By activity stage, there were many applicants in the period of forming the foundation of activities and the period of expansion and development of activities, with a total of 78%. Many applications were submitted to provide opportunities for audiences to think through their works, focusing on social themes such as gender, minorities, disparities, and quality of life, as well as others. In addition to the creative theme and the core person of the creation and production, the creation and production system such as the date, time, and venue, as well as the performers and staff, are in place, and the project content is specific and the initiative and the purpose and goal are adopted.

Dance Field
◆Number of applications (number of acceptances): 24 (9)
Breakdown: Artistic Creation Activities in Tokyo 17(6)
International Art Exchange Activities 7(3)
◆Adoption rate: 37.5%
The number of applications increased from the first fiscal year of 2024 to 24. This fiscal year, the ratio of applications is high between the period of formation of the activity base and the period of activity expansion and development, and a project was selected to delve into the theme of the work by organizations that are refining their original methods in research and expression while repeatedly performing performances. His research covers a wide range of topics, including fieldwork in Asia, classical literature, and costumes. In addition, applications from projects with the perspective of developing juniors by organizations in the mature and top stages of activities and from young organizations that advance activities from Startup Grant to the next stage have also been accepted. Three international art exchange activities have been adopted, all of which are expected to have a ripple effect. Most of the applications were in the form of dance performances, but one festival project in which artists across genres participated was also selected. We also hope that applications that will expand the expression of dance will also be made.

《Art and Video Field》
◆Number of applications (number of acceptances): 61 (7)
Breakdown: Artistic Creation Activities in Tokyo 46(5)
International Art Exchange Activities 15(2)
◆Adoption rate: 11.5%
The number of applications and the number of applications adopted increased compared to the first fiscal year of FY2024, and the proportion of applications from individuals and organizations in the period of forming the foundation for activities and expanding and developing activities is large. In addition, there were 58 initial applications, accounting for 85% of the total, an increase of 10% from the first fiscal year of FY2024. Seven projects were selected, including exhibitions planned by young artists, young curators, and researchers, as well as critic training workshops and screenings on experimental and individual films. In addition, there were applications from art colleges and university faculty members, and among the applications from individuals, projects that can be expected to develop in the future of artist activities, such as participation in art festivals overseas and research and presentations overseas, were adopted.

< Traditional Performing Arts >
◆ Number of applications (number of applications accepted): 39 (13)
Breakdown: Creative artistic activities in Tokyo 34 (12)
International artistic exchange activities 5 (1)
◆ Acceptance rate: 33.3%
The number of applications was 39, the second highest ever for the first period. The acceptance rate in this field tends to be higher than in other fields, at about 50% in previous years. However, this year's number of applications was 13, which is about 30%, lower than in previous years. This is because, while the number of applications from individuals increased to 14, the number of applications from individuals was limited to 1, as there were many undecided details, vague plans for the project after implementation, and mistakes in the way the documents were written. Initial applications were 21, accounting for about 50% of the total. Broken down by activity stage, approximately 40% each were in the activity base formation stage and the activity expansion/development stage, and approximately 20% were in the activity maturity/top stage. There were a wide range of applications by category, including traditional Japanese music, noh, Japanese dance, entertainment (rakugo), and gagaku. The challenges of past activities and future prospects are examined in detail, and projects with clear plans and originality and continuity are selected.

◆ Number of applications (number of applications): 80 (11)
Breakdown: Creative artistic activities in Tokyo 63 (8)
International artistic exchange activities 17 (3)
◆ Adoption rate: 13.8%
This year, we received a record number of applications, 80, and 11 were selected. Applications were wide-ranging, with projects combining elements from multiple fields and projects involving artists working together across genres. In addition, 21% of all applications were for international art exchange activities, and the number of applications related to traditional performing arts in particular was a characteristic trend this year. Among these projects, projects with high levels of innovation and originality that are expected to be realized were selected, including projects that create opportunities to experience art in everyday life on the stage of an entire town, projects that combine contemporary circus and media art, and projects that are expected to create challenging creative activities overseas.
