For the stage production "Don't Shut Up, Move, Breathe," in which deaf people and hearing people encounter each other, we are widely recruiting citizen extras.
"Don't Shut Up, Move, Breathe" is a fictional story. It is divided into a Deaf town and a Hearing town.
The "Deaf Town" has changed its location frequently and developed in accordance with the physical and linguistic needs of the Deaf.
The "City of Listeners" has developed on the premise of "hearing" in an extremely crowded environment where 100 million people live in a single city due to the increasing concentration of the population.
In this application, we are looking for citizen extras who will play the roles of the residents of the town of listeners. Stage performance and acting experience are not required. We are looking forward to receiving applications from those who would like to experience the world premiere of this work performed with an original story on stage.
The Deaf and the Hearing Face Each other in the stage production "Don't Shut Up, Move, Breathe" explores the essence of music for the Deaf and the hearing through mutual interaction, and encounters both sides with different languages and cultures in the creative field. The original story created based on this process is performed in Japanese Sign Language and Japanese.
In this recruitment, we are looking for the main cast of the residents of "Deaf Town" and "Hearing Town" respectively. We look forward to receiving applications from those who are willing to take on the challenge of this world premiere.
