The "Support for Society through Arts and Culture" program implemented by the Arts Council Tokyo of the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture supports art activities in which people from various social environments can participate together and demonstrate their creativity while respecting each other's individuality, as well as activities that utilize the characteristics of art and culture to address various social and urban issues. Its purpose is to support pioneering activities that promote the new significance of art and culture in society and the ideal way of art that is open to all people, and activities that steadily contribute to solving problems from a long-term perspective.
In FY 2025, we will focus on supporting projects that address disparities in children's art appreciation and experience opportunities.
We have decided on the projects that will be eligible for the FY 2025 Phase 1 Arts and Culture Social Support Subsidy.
In this fiscal year, 16 applications were accepted out of 58. The total amount of the grant is 22,231,000 yen.
