Start Box We will open the atelier of a young artist working at Sasahata Hatsu.
This is a rare opportunity to interact with artists who create paintings, media art and installation works.
Admission is free, and advance reservations are not required, so please feel free to drop by.

Sasazuka
Takatsugu SAITO (also known as Takatsugu SAITO)
Born in Tokyo in 1998. He majored in painting at the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts. Using political philosophy and childhood memories as clues, he created fictional found objects and installations. Through a variety of media, including paintings, three-dimensional images, and graphics, the exhibition encourages us to reconsider the different worlds, the means to reach them, and our behavior and relationships with them. Recent major exhibitions include the solo exhibition (Art Studio KYOK, 2023) and the group exhibition (LURF gallery, 2025) 1998.
Michiko Okubo
Born in 1989 in Gunma Prefecture. After graduating from Keio University and working for an IT company, he studied oil painting at the Faculty of Art and Design, Tama Art University. Selected for the 37, 39 and 41 "Mitsubishi Corporation Art Gate Program." Exhibited at (Sato Museum of Art, 2020). Held solo exhibitions at Nakajima Art (Tokyo), Hisishimaya (Osaka and Yokohama), and Matsuzakaya (Ueno). His current theme is to create works that "stimulate" viewers, and he is not bound by "abstraction" or "concrete". The aim is to create works that stimulate people's daily lives by allowing viewers to reflect on their experiences and thoughts, creating new perspectives through communication with the works and their creators.
Kazuki MABUCHI
Born in Tokyo in 1992. In 2019, he majored in GAP at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Produced about self-preservation and human recovery. I try to develop my personal viewpoint as a painting. He has received awards such as the Special Prize at the 6th Miyamoto Saburo Memorial Drawing Grand Prize Exhibition (2021) and the Excellent Prize at the Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prize Exhibition (2023). His major exhibitions include solo exhibitions (JUNGLE
GYM, Tokyo, 2023) and (ROUTEGALLERY, Tokyo, 2024).
Hatagaya
Fumi KATO
Born in Tokyo in 1985. Graduated from the Meisterschuler program of the Leipzig University of Fine Arts. He produces and presents mainly video works inspired by spaces and stories shared by multiple people. In 2024, he moved his base from Germany to Japan. His major exhibitions include "SEILAKT III–VI. On a Razor's Edge"(Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig, Leipzig, 2020), (Stellwerk Gallery, Kassel, 2022), and (Haus Kunst Mitte, Berlin, 2025).
Kaoru SASAHARA
Born in Tokyo in 1997. He graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Technical High School. By deforming everyday objects and losing their functionality, he creates works that give viewers a reinterpretation of the composition of space and living environment. Major exhibits include RELAX FOREST (HIGURE17-15 cas, Tokyo, 2023) and PARCO Opens New Dimension 2023 (Shibuya PARCO, 2023). He also participates in group exhibitions overseas and continues to present his work.
Mikiko Kamada
Graduated from Chiba University Graduate School of Horticultural Science with a doctorate in agriculture. While reconstructing the "relationship between plants and humans" and researching the importance of soil and plants in cities, he is working to build a nature-positive urban environment. In 2020, he held his first solo exhibition (Gallery Art for Thought, Ginza). An attempt to visualize invisible life was realized. The collaborative work "Mugen Metamorphose" with producer Masaharu Kawamori is being exhibited at the Osaka Expo Signature Pavilion "Adventure of Life."
