In preparation for 2025, when the World Athletics and Deaflympics are scheduled to be held together with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the Arts Council Tokyo, together with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, started the "Tokyo Art and Culture Appreciation Support Grant" this fiscal year with the aim of creating a symbiotic society where everyone can experience art and culture. This subsidy requires the participation in a course to learn the know-how of effective support in accordance with disabilities, etc., and supports the actual expenses of up to 1.5 million yen for efforts aimed at improving accessibility for viewers and participants.
As part of the second round, 13 organizations have been selected to receive grants totaling 13,146,200 yen.
Applications for this subsidy are accepted at any time, but when the total amount decided to be granted reaches the budget, the acceptance will end. Since the opening of the application, we have received many applications from arts and cultural organizations, and the total amount of money chosen is approaching the budget limit.
