We have decided on the target projects for the 2nd phase of the Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program] and the 2nd period of the Social Grant 30.
This fiscal year, we received 88 applications for single-year grants and 15 applications for social assistance grants, and as a result of rigorous screening at Arts Council Tokyo, 38 single-year grants and 8 social assistance grants were selected (43.2% for single-year grants and 53.3% for social support grants). The total amount of single-year subsidies is 38,160,000 yen, and the total amount of social support subsidies is 5,830,000 yen.
Creation Grant
Creation Grant will subsidize a portion of the activity expenses for Tokyo-based arts organizations and other organizations in order to support various creative activities and their bearers who contribute to the improvement of Tokyo's urban attractiveness.
The "Single-Year Grant Program" supports creative activities such as performances, exhibitions, and art projects carried out in Tokyo during the past year, as well as international art exchange activities, and various activities that contribute to the improvement of Tokyo's artistic creative environment.
Social Grant
We support artistic activities in which people with disabilities, the elderly, children, youth, and foreign residents (hereinafter referred to as "persons with disabilities, etc.") are actively involved, as well as pioneering artistic activities aimed at contributing to the improvement of various social and urban issues.
