Business Overview

Internationally acclaimed percussionist Kato Kunko takes on the challenge of a European tour with Japan's young talents. Visiting Romania, the Netherlands, France, Britain and Italy, the concert will focus on works by 20 century master Xenakis. In Romania, the homeland of Xenakis' mother, he plays his masterpieces in the national halls of four major cities, depicting the intersection of history and music. In France and the UK, he performed with Nohgakushi Nobuo NAKASHIRO, presenting a novel fusion of the works of Xenakis and Noh, in which the aesthetics of East and West intersect. In the Netherlands and Italy, the program created opportunities for international exchange through master classes by Kunko Kato and performances with local musicians.
