Business Overview

The Mitake Valley area has a strong affinity with art since ancient times, including the Gyokudo Art Museum, which was built to commemorate the late life of Gyokudo Kawai, a master painter in the Japanese art world, and the annual OKUTAMA ART FESTIVAL. In this project, 12 artists will present diverse expressions such as paintings, sculptures, installations, performances, dances, and live music along the Mitake Valley, which flows between Mitake Station and Gunbatake Station. In this project, in addition to viewing works while experiencing rafting, a contemporary art exhibition will be held at the National Okutama Art Museum, which is a separate venue.

Profile

【 General Incorporated Association Ongoing】
The purpose of the General Incorporated Association Ongoing is to contribute to the improvement of culture and education broadly by connecting numerous art spots scattered throughout Japan and overseas through a network, raising the cultural level of local communities, creating new art culture by transmitting sensational and ongoing art, and developing activities to stimulate the sensibilities of many people including children who will bear the future.
In addition, we aim to create an environment in which Tokyo-based artists can scrutinize and develop their own expressions and value their expressions from an international perspective.
