Business Overview

Survivors of sexual violence are not the subjects, but the ones who take the pictures themselves, and they work to capture the feelings that they have not been able to verbalize. Through their works, they objectify themselves and find their inner voices, and through the works of other survivors, they respect the existence of others and encourage mutual empowerment through being respected. The photo exhibition, open to the public, aims to improve understanding of survivors, improve social awareness, and increase support for survivors by making them aware of the world of survivors, which is not a stereotyped image.

Profile

【STAND Still Tokyo 】
STAND Still Tokyo was established in 2022 to make it easier for survivors in Tokyo to access workshops and exhibitions after many participants from Tokyo attended STAND Still, which started in Yokohama. We will work to empower people who are not connected to consultation desks or counseling/self-help groups, or who do not feel the need to connect but need some kind of support, by expressing themselves freely in an environment where they do not have to talk.
