Business Overview

The purpose of this program is to introduce the latest overseas piano pieces that are rarely performed in Japan by theme, commission new works from Japanese composers related to the theme, and perform old works again. The program for this first performance consists of works by German and Austrian composers O. Neuwirth, B. Furrer, M. Eggert, and B. Lang (all of which were first performed in Japan) and works by Yasutami Inamori, who studied in Germany. This is a performance unique to Ryogoku Menten Hall, which has pursued various special piano playing techniques. The performance is performed by Masanobu Shinoda, a composer himself who has performed many new premieres.
