Business Overview
Artists active in Japan and abroad, staff members, islanders, and all participants worked together to reaffirm and communicate the charms of Ogasawara. In addition to the workshops by music and behind-the-scenes engineers, cultural exchange and learning the island's old songs together, all participants enjoyed the experience of "changing Ogasawara from the festival" and reducing the environmental load, which encouraged sustainability actions and contributed to the promotion of local culture. 【BONIN ISLAND JAZZ Executive Committee 】
A voluntary organization made up of volunteers from inside and outside the Ogasawara Islands. The event is held with the cooperation of professional engineers.
They have held 5 events continuously in 7 years, starting with "ISLAND JAZZ @ THE EARTH in Ogasawara 2016" as part of the "Thank you! Ogasawara-maru/Hajima-maru" campaign in 2016, followed by the Ogasawara Music Festival in 2018 to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the return of the Ogasawara Islands, and BONIN ISLAND JAZZ 2023 Winter in January this year while taking measures against COVID-19.
