Profile
[Gallery F Asakusa]
The earthen storehouse built in Keio 4 at the end of the Edo period was restored and opened as an art space in 1997. The building, which survived the Great Kanto Earthquake, the Great Tokyo Air Raids, and urban redevelopment after the war, has been preserved and used to hold exhibitions and concerts by artists from Japan and overseas. In 1998, it was registered as a national tangible cultural property.
