Business Overview

With the aim of popularizing and developing contemporary dance, this project calls on a wide range of experts in fields other than dance to conduct workshops on the body and repeated open-ended performances. Led by Tatsuya Hiraga, a leading landscape architect, the project held 4 workshops in cooperation with specialists in cultural anthropology, education, welfare, etc., 4 performances at "Nonoa Oyama" in Kita-Aoyama, which is undergoing urban development, and at "Ebihara Shoten," an old folk house gallery in Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and 2 symposiums as debriefing sessions. A total of 10 events were held over a period of 9 months under the auspices of the dance group zero.

zer◯ is a dance group that advocates the importance of the body and continues to learn and create. Focusing on point work devised by Naoya Aoki, training and exploration of the body with the aim of sharing bodily sensations. In addition to performing arts, she also works in galleries and outdoors, and has many relationships with schools and public facilities. She frequently approaches people who do not normally go to theaters. Collaborations with other genres, such as the collaboration with Crossings, which mainly consists of contemporary music composers, and regular events held at the old folk house gallery Ebihara Shoten, are planned in the medium to long term.
