Business Overview
Why does flamenco transcend national borders and strike a strong chord with us Japanese? Why are we swayed by the singing voice, the sound of the strings, the rhythm of the beating, resonated with the dance, attracted to it? Shiho Morita, a flamenco dancer, expresses this question in his unique world view in the Hana series and continues to search for it. This time, "Hana 9" was as simple as possible, stripping away everything, and showing the universality that comes from that stripping away. Isn't that the root that connects us to flamenco? Guitarist Alfredo Lagos and Cantaol David Lagos from Les de la Frontera, the birthplace of flamenco, were invited from Spain to perform. The program consists mainly of traditional flamenco pieces, combining not only dance but also cante solos and guitar solos. In order to highlight the essence of flamenco, it was performed with simple stage direction and raw sound.
