Business Overview

The composer Yoshiro Irino (1921-1980) is known as the composer of the first 12 tone work by a Japanese. Irino is one of the most important Japanese composers a generation older than Toru Takemitsu, and 2016 marks the 95 year anniversary of his birth. To commemorate this occasion, six pieces from Irino's chamber music works will be selected in a way that expands his creative activities, and will be performed by excellent young players. This is not just a retrospective exhibition, but is intended to rediscover the outstanding music of Irino and pass it on to the next generation.
