Business Overview

With the theme of "transcending boundaries," Matsui Shu continues to present works that sharply cut into contemporary issues such as homosexuality, gender transition, regenerative medicine, and religion. In this production, they invite choreographer and dancer Ito Kim as an actor to create a new three-person play. My brother and his wife live in the same house. Out of his distrust of his wife, the older brother asks the younger brother to spend a night alone with his wife. And he told me to report everything that happened during that time. Borrowing scenes from Natsume Soseki's Gyojin, it depicts the end of a changing love triangle. Writer/Director: Shu Matsui Cast: Kim Ito (GERO), Miho Inatsugu, Shu Matsui

Profile

A theatrical company presided over by Shu MATSUI (playwright, director and actor).
The style in which actors and staff seamlessly and weirdly drive fragments of Matsui's messy and mythical world has won him a strong following, especially among his contemporaries. He won the 55 Kishida Kunio Drama Prize for his "Boastful Son" (10).
Participated in Echigo-Tsumari Daichi Art Festival since 2012. He continues to work on installations and creative activities in abandoned elementary and junior high schools, and is also drawing attention for his efforts that transcend boundaries.
