Business Overview
Nohgaku has been preserved and polished by actors of the times for more than 650 years, and was recognized by UNESCO for the first time as a 'Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity' in 2001. This performance is held every year to commemorate this certification and to promote Nohgaku in Japan and abroad. In recent years, we have been focusing on communicating to foreigners. This time, in commemoration of the 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Algerian region, Noh was introduced mainly to Algerians living in Japan and foreign students, who are the next generation. (100 foreign students were invited free of charge by lottery) In addition to the use of the liquid crystal super caption display (in Japanese and English) installed at the back of the front seats in the National Noh Theater, introductory booklets in foreign languages explaining Nohgaku were distributed for free.
