Business Overview

"La Celestina - The Three Pablos" (premiered at Le Teatre Ginza in 2009) which was invited to Festival de Jerez (Jerez, Spain) in February 2011 to great acclaim, is re-performed in Spain by invitation from the largest flamenco festival "Bienal". Shoji Kojima, one of the supporters of Japanese flamenco since its early days, delivers the fruits of 80 years of Japanese flamenco history to the home of flamenco. "La Celestina: The Three Pablo's" is a masterpiece by Shoji Kojima, which paid homage to the 3 geniuses who died in 1973: painter Pablo Picasso, poet Pablo Neruda, and cellist Pau (Pablo in Catalan) Casals.

[Shoji Kojima Flamenco Dance Company]
Established in 1976. With the aim of contributing to the popularization and promotion of flamenco art, the institute collaborates and promotes artistic activities through international collaborative exchanges, including Japan and Spain, and conducts various educational activities abroad to establish flamenco art in Japan and to complete flamenco dance as a comprehensive art with the aim of achieving a higher level of artistry. It has produced many flamenco dancers currently active in Japan.
