Profile

Gekidan Garba
Gekidan Garba is a theater group founded by actor Hajime Yamazaki in November 2018. Aiming at an intermediate form between a theatrical company and a produced performance, it was named "Gekidan" as a place where the cast and staff actively participate in creation. "Garba" comes from Indian mythology and refers to the being that gave birth to the creator god Brahman, and is also translated as "golden fetus" or "cosmic egg." As a place of free creativity, it is characterized by its openness where everyone can exchange opinions.
