We believe that a marching parade, which captivates and inspires people, is a procession of peace and culture. With the hope of bringing inspiration, joy, and hope to people's hearts through the power of marching, we proudly organize this parade every year.
Today, our communities face many challenges, including a declining birthrate, an aging population, and weakening social connections. There is also an increasing need to foster stronger relationships between local communities and younger generations. We hope that the Hachioji Yokoyama Minami Marching Festival will serve as a model for community revitalization.
Through this parade, we are committed to sharing the richness of arts and culture with audiences across Japan and around the world from Hachioji—the western gateway of Tokyo. We also aspire to play a meaningful role in promoting the unique appeal and cultural vitality of Tokyo on the global stage.
Main participating organisations; Tokyo Fire Department Band, Nihonbashi junior high school Brass Band Club, Hachioji senior high school Brass Band Club, SOKA Renaissance Vanguard Drum & Brass Corps, Hachioji Fire Memorial Service etc.
