Profile
[Erika Ueda]
Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Kobe University. He completed the Kurdish course at the Open Academy of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. His interest in the oral tradition of Kurdistan has led him to travel to Kurdistan frequently, collecting folk songs in the course of his life there. He plays and sings Kurdish music on the piano and saz, and translates Kurdish literature. In 2022, he collaborated with the Kurdish part of "Encyclopedia of Official Languages of the World" (Maruzen Publishing). He made many appearances in the Turkish and Iraqi media (Rudaw, Waar TV, etc.). In October 2023, she hosted and co-hosted Serdar Canan's Japan tour.
