Grant for Accessibility

In order to realize a society in which everyone can enjoy arts and culture, the Government will support efforts aimed at improving accessibility by private organizations implementing arts and culture projects. The aim is to increase the number of examples of support for viewers and participants who need support, to create opportunities for them to come into contact with art and culture, and to disseminate widely throughout society the need to improve accessibility to art and culture.

Grant programs open for applications

Grant for Accessibility |Application Guidelines

From FY2026, we will relax the conditions for businesses operating public cultural facilities in municipalities in Tokyo's inner wards to further support appreciation support for exhibitions and performances held in Tokyo.
This Grant Programs will be implemented in conjunction with support such as taking courses and responding to consultations by Tokyo Support Center for the Arts and Culture ARTNOTO. We hope that through this project, the implementing organizations of the arts and culture project will promote understanding of the accessibility of art and culture, accumulate know-how, etc., and develop the leaders of the arts and culture projects.

*"Appreciation support" here refers to the development of an environment that enriches the experience of viewing public performances and exhibitions, as well as the experience of participating in events and programs.
