Business Overview

Planned exhibition "Spider on the net" with the motif of spider (Joro spider) was held. Since several years ago, I have been observing and recording the behavior of the Joro spider. In this exhibition, he will present works such as drawings and installations, focusing on video works. The images at the center of the exhibition were shot in collaboration with artist Jun Baba (ACCI BABA) at several locations in Kanagawa Prefecture and Tokyo. This work records the behavior of the Joro spider, focusing on its habit of cleaning leaves attached to its nest. Inspired by the cognitive abilities of the joro spider, the thread phone presented as an installation was created using a 440 Hz tuning fork and joro spider thread. Focusing on the perceptual world of spiders, the exhibition was intended to show in various ways the moment when our world overlaps with the perceptual world of different creatures.
