Business Overview
Arche pursues the social functions and possibilities of dance performance spaces, and continues to question the relationship between people and the significance of the dancer's existence through physical expression. The film is based on the homunculus map proposed by brain surgeon Penfield and focuses on touch, which is deeply connected to the brain. The sense of touch was an important element for human beings to connect with each other, as shown in Braille and manufacturing. However, due to the development of technology, opportunities for contact have decreased, and indirect connections through symbols and words have become the mainstream in modern times, and there is even a tendency to avoid direct relationships. This film is an attempt to return to the sense that humans are born with, and to question the ethics of living beings, using the absence of touch as a basis for the view of the body.
