Profile

"Kenso-kai"
It was established in April 1919 for the purpose of learning and popularizing Ikuta-ryu sokyoku and jiuta sangen as well as promoting mutual exchange and improvement of the arts of the members in order to hand down the arts of the iemoto.
In April 1922, the first Kenso-kai concert was held at the Music Hall of Tokyo Music School. Since then, in addition to performing classical pieces, the group has actively performed the group's property programs such as the music composed by Kotoo YONEKAWA and the works composed by Toshiko YONEKAWA, the first and the second (the present), in an effort to pass down the music.
