Business Overview
Organized by OSBC (Yoshihide Otomo Special Big Band Committee) with the cooperation of Oslo based agent No Earplugs, a total of 17 people including 16 musicians and 1 manager of Yoshihide Otomo Special Big Band went on a European tour. In addition to their original avant-garde pieces, they also performed their own improvisations under the direction of the members, as well as Bon Festival dances and soundtracks. Their unique individuality gained a reputation throughout the country, and they were sold out at most venues, held workshops at Cafe OTO in London, and played the last stage at the Berlin Jazz Festival, which celebrated its 60 year anniversary. After that, the festival was approached by the festival organizers, and it was picked up by various media such as radio broadcast and web, and received many responses.

In September 2012, with the opportunity to produce music for NHK's serial TV novel "Amachan," they gathered together members who are active in various fields such as classical music, pop, jazz, rock and improvisation. In 2013, she appeared on NHK Red and White Singing Contest and won many awards for her song "Ama-chan." After that, they made a number of albums, performed Bon Odori in Fukushima and other places, held workshops with the general public and children, performed at Fuji Rock and Sapporo International Arts Festival, and performed at various live houses. From avant-garde music to soundtrack and Bon Odori music, the band became the core of Yoshihide Otomo's unique activities after the earthquake.
