Business Overview

A musical recitation play centering on "Botan Toro," a ghost story related to Yanaka, Taito-ku. The venue will be the Sansakizaka Cafe, an art space in the Yane 1000 area that serves as a hub for community exchange. By performing in this place, where history and culture abound, they aim to rediscover the charm of the region and convey it to new visitors, thereby contributing to regional revitalization. Under the theme of "If you become a corpse now, can you become a Buddha?" it uses music and storytelling to depict the tenacity and resentment of female ghosts who wander through a valley in late summer. The first part is a Song Box composed of poems and music by Shuji Terayama, and the second part is an attempt to give a new perspective to the viewer's mind by asking what is the human feeling that is so frightening, based on the subject of 'Peony Lantern' (original work by Encho SANYUTEI).
