Business Overview

This project will contribute to the development of choral music in Japan by organizing a concert of French choral music, which has few opportunities to be performed in Japan, and by introducing aspects of choral music that are rarely exposed to light. It introduced a wide range of French choral music, from Saint-Saens as a "classic" to the works of contemporary composers such as Tanguy, Zavarro, and Machel.

Profile

[Verset Versé]
Verset Versé is a French word meaning "poured out verses." This vocal ensemble was organized under the invitation of the chorus conductor Kota Yanagishima to perform the composer Akira Nishimura's “Water Prayer ” at the JCDA Choral Festival 2022 22 Kitatopia Choral Festival Special Concert. It is composed of a mixture of professional and semi-professional members who have a strong interest in the performance of modern music, and in the performance of "Water Prayer," the wide range of expressiveness attracted attention in spite of the small number of 18 members. In the future, it aims to disseminate widely a wide repertoire mainly on modern works while refining techniques and sensibilities.
