Business Overview
September 2024 marked the first anniversary of the death of the House Theater, a 90 year-old traditional house in Senju, Adachi Ward, Tokyo that was used for 6 years as a place for creative works. Based on the concept of preserving and passing down what happened at the house theater while exploring regional and artistic activities that can be continued even after the house is gone, exhibitions, talks, tours and workshops centered on dance performances were held. For the performance, Nakamura Ryo was invited as a choreographer, and the work "Living with a House," which was performed at the house theater for 90 performances in 3 years, was recreated with the whole space. The venue is open not only as a theater space for performances, but also as an exhibition space created with artists of various genres. In addition, other programs created opportunities to think not only about the house theater but also about "creating a place," "preserving a place," and "working in a specific area" while appreciating art. Performance: You Nakamura (choreography and direction), Miyu Arakimiya (appearance), Ayano Ogata (Appearance, sponsorship) Exhibits: Hikari Asano (contemporary art), Yumi Kanemitsu (music), Takuto Morio + Theater Space Rocknat (stereo sound device), Makoto Uemura (installation), Kensuke Okumura (video), Shuichiro Abe (video) Situation: (tentative name) Kominkan!
