Profile

[Mavolatory]
Mavolatory is a theater unit formed in 2023 by Shoichi Kihara, a member of Keio University's theater club. The origin of the term is a cross between MAVO, a pioneer of the Japanese dada movement, and Laboratory, which means "laboratory." Produces a work that highlights the problems and absurdities of society based on the screenplay by director Kihara, which is based on the theme of "a world that is neither too far nor too close" that is an extension of everyday life. It is characterized by the use of original props such as huge cloth and letters to stimulate the imagination of the audience.
