Business Overview

Singaporean playwright and director Jeong Tse Sien has been invited to perform a contemporary adaptation of Hearless Hoichi, a ghost story by Hearn Koizumi. The obsession with art and insanity of the ruined genius biwa player Hoichi resonated with the grudge of the Heike busho (Japanese military commander) and the disturbing world situation, leading to a catastrophic end. Kanji SHIMIZU, a Noh actor, was invited as a Heike busho (Japanese military commander), and Yasumizu ARAI, a Satsuma biwa player, was invited as a live biwa player, and the stage became a fusion of Japanese traditional performing arts of puppets, Noh and biwa, while it was a modern play.
