Business Overview

This folk song exchange project was born in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic between musicians from Japan and Ethiopia. In 2024, the long-awaited folk song unit Koderanni moved to Ethiopia and collaborated with their local partner Moseb Band to perform. Folk song unit consisting of Freddy Tsukamoto (folk song singer), Kazuhisa Akiyama (Tsugaru-jamisen), Mikado Kanako (shinobue), and Chan Yuka (ohayashi and taiko). During the COVID-19 pandemic in the summer of 2021, he launched the Folk Song Exchange Project, which led to full-scale activities. Based on the motto of folk songs that anyone can sing and want to start dancing without thinking, she is active in a wide range of activities including live performances, festivals and sessions with foreign artists.
