Profile

[Akiyama Quartet]
Formed by classmates from the Tokyo University of the Arts, this is a quartet with a piano trio and vocal music that has never been seen on a permanent basis. They are highly praised for their unprecedented program structure and the technical ability of the members to perform various songs. Activities are carried out for the following three purposes.
1)This program seamlessly connects chamber music works of all ages, styles, and languages, and does not simply incorporate works that have few opportunities to be performed, but brings new appeal and aesthetic value to each work through the program as a whole.
2)Among chamber music works, the unknown possibilities of songs, which are rarely taken up at concerts, are explored widely by touching on works for duos and trios.
3)By including new works and commissioned premieres of arrangements in every performance, it supports the creative activities of composers and musicians in the composition of chamber music and songs.
