Business Overview

This project aims to increase interest in art by opening the entire 6th floor of the ABAB Ueno Store, which has a history of over 70 years, to young artists as the “Uenoshita Studio ” and providing opportunities for local residents to interact with art. Specifically, it operates three spaces: a production studio, storage for viewing, and viewing for exhibitions. Approximately 20 artists are provided with a production space at any given time, and artists who cannot secure a large production space are provided with a place to express themselves. In addition, by storing and displaying some of the works of the resident artists, we lowered the hurdle of appreciation and provided visitors with an opportunity to encounter artworks as an extension of their daily lives.
