[Events to be experienced] Noh chanting and dancing [Number of times a participant experiences the practical skills (including recitals and rehearsals)] 11 times (planned) [Main instructors] Osamu Kobayakawa and Yasumitsu Kobayakawa [Features of the project] The program is aimed at elementary and junior high school students in Suginami Ward, including beginners who have never experienced Noh or traditional performing arts. Each program is divided into 3 classes, and each class takes about 40 minutes. The story of the program is explained, and the chanting and dancing are alternately performed by children. The program is undecided. In 2024, he practiced and performed 'Shojo,' 'Hagoromo,' and 'Iwafune.'. [Efforts to publicize when recruiting participants (collaboration, cooperation, network, etc.)] Through the Asagaya Youth Development Committee, which is co-sponsoring the event, disseminate information and understanding to each school. Support will be obtained from various administrative organs, including the Suginami Ward Board of Education and the Council of Social Welfare, and cooperation will be obtained in distributing flyers at municipal facilities such as children's centers and libraries. We will also post information on our website and disseminate information via SNS. [Asagaya Noh and Kyogen Association]
This is an organization in which the representative of Asagaya Shinmeigu Shrine is the chairperson, the chief priest, and the chairmen and officers of Asagaya town associations serve as executive members of this organization, and activities are carried out with various cooperation from the local people. Every year, Takigi-noh is held at Asagaya Shinmei-gu Shrine as a place to showcase and introduce the virtues and highlights of Noh and Kyogen, Japanese culture that is proud of the world, from Suginami to Japan and overseas.
