Business Overview
"Terazia: A Theatre Journey Through the Era of Quarantine" is an Asian collaborative project that began in 2020 with the global coronavirus pandemic. Artists from Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia have created and presented works based on contemporary beliefs and views of life and death. This work was first performed in Tokyo in 2018, and was subsequently re-created by artists from all over Asia. The practice of "Terazia: Theater Traveling through the Age of Segregation" is directly linked to many questions that stand in the way of realizing a multicultural society. In other words, how do we respect each other's different cultures? Is it possible to work together even if we are far apart? How can we continue to work together under difficult circumstances? "Terrasia," which has been addressing these questions through art since 2020, aims to present society with a model case for international partnership in the future. With the international festival "Sua TE RA SIA Episode 2" to be held in Indonesia in January 2025 as a milestone, the project will create works and accumulate interviews in the first 1 and a half years, and produce an electronic version of the documentary book after the festival.
【1年目プロジェクト概要】 （1）インタビュー 日本語・英語Web公開1 内容：「テラジア」のアーティストを対象としたインタビューをオンライン記事として日本語・英語で公開した。これまで十分に明かされて来なかったメンバーの個人史をインタビューを通じて辿ることで、プロジェクトの背景にある大きな文脈を国際的な読者と共有した。社会情勢が流動変化する中で作品を創作し続けているアジア各地のテラジアメンバーの感情や思考の変化にもフォーカスしたアーカイブであるとともに、芸術愛好家にとどまらない観客の裾野を広げる広報活動としての役割も担った。 日時：通年随時公開 会場： オンライン 日本語：https://note.com/terasia_jp/m/mcdf01ccb93c3 English: https://note.com/terasia_jp/m/m953faa136b6b （2）インドネシア 滞在リサーチ 内容：日本・インドネシア・タイ・ミャンマー各国からメンバー数名ずつが集合し、2年目の国際フェスティバル「Sua TERASIA」の準備を行った。 ジャカルタでTeater Kubur（ディンドン W.S.演出）による新作パフォーマンス『TERA Indonesia: Back to Nature』のワーク・イン・プログレス発表を鑑賞した。 チアンジュールを訪問し、フェスティバルの会場候補であるグヌンパダン遺跡を視察・リサーチした。 他の芸術団体等とのネットワーキングおよび会場リサーチを行った。 日時：2022年9月4日（日）-13日（火） 会場：Teater Kubur、グヌンパダン遺跡（ジャカルタ、チアンジュール／インドネシア） （3）ベトナム 映像創作・ショートバージョン 内容：映像作家のグェン・ハイ・イェンらベトナムのアーティスト・チームと日本のドラマトゥルク（渡辺真帆）が滞在リサーチを行い、ドキュメンタリーとフィクションを融合した新作映像作品「TERA Vietnam: The Tangerine Womb」を制作開始した。 グェンの出身地である北部のランソンに滞在し、地域住民への聞き取り、寺や墓地の見学、土地の習俗について調査する他、会場候補である洞窟の寺を訪れ、プラン検討を行った。 日時：2022年9月26日（月）-10月23日（日） 会場：Chùa Tiên 洞窟寺院ほか（ランソン／ベトナム） （4）テラジア オンラインウィーク2022 + オンサイト 内容：タイ、ミャンマー、ベトナム、インドネシア、日本のアーティストたちによる完全オンラインのミニフェス「テラジア オンラインウィーク2022」を開催。演劇・美術・映像・音楽の分野横断的な作品、各種トークや読みものなどのプログラムが、10日間の会期を通して順次ウェブサイトで公開された。一部の有料コンテンツを除き、原則的に参加無料。ビルマ語で収録される動画を含め、全て日本語・英語で閲覧・鑑賞可能。日本・タイ・ベトナム・ミャンマー・インドネシア各地で、テラジアのアーティストたちに直接出会えるオンサイトイベントも同時開催した。 日時：2022年11月4日（金）-13日（日） 会場： オンライン 日本語: https://terasia.net/event/onlineweek2022/ English: https://terasia.net/en/event/onlineweek2022/
