Profile

[Shinnai/Kisaragi School]
Shinnai Joruri is a performing art that originated in Edo, where storytelling and singing are performed over the sound of a shamisen. Kisaragi-ha's practice hall is a three-minute walk from Akasaka Station in Minato Ward. This is a place where everyone from young people to seniors can learn traditional performing arts in a fun and friendly way. While enjoying shamisen and singing, they also try to keep the basics in mind. You can also experience "Shinnai Nagashi" where you play the shamisen while walking, as seen in period dramas. You too!
