Business Overview

Katsura Sasturation Planned Performance "Preface Dance Sanban Noh" is a Noh performance sponsored by the "Noh and Kyogen Appreciation Association" chaired by Keizo Nagayama, a Kansei-ryu Noh performer, and was held with a subsidy from Arts Council Tokyo. Keizo Nagayama starred in each performance, and three performances were performed: "Nomiya" (first performance in December 2023), "Yang Guifei" (second performance in March 2024), and "Sadaie" (third performance in June 2024). At the same time, a pre-lecture was held before the main performance for each performance, and the pattern was also streamed on the web at a later date. This project is intended to clarify the similarities and differences between the same performers performing the core performance of the "Prelude Dance", one of the Noh dances. In addition, it was also considered an important factor for everyone in the audience to feel the skills and skills of the performers who are active on the front line up close, so the main venue was a small theater called the Chosenkai Noh Theater in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.

Profile

[Noh and Kyogen Appreciation Association]
It was established by Keizo NAGAYAMA, a Noh actor of the Kanze school, with the aim of improving his art and popularizing Nohgaku. They regularly hold workshops at 'Setagaya Nagayama Noh Stage' (completed in 2017) located in Setagaya Ueno. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we held a monthly lecture titled “Why don't you experience the world of Noh? ” and in addition to watching the performance, we also held a program in which participants could watch the men's costumes and actually listen to the chanting of Noh songs. At present, the members of Katsura Kankai "Let's Try!! "Yokyoku Shimai" Okei Koman-to-man" take lessons four times a month, which is titled and lasts for three months (twice a month). Inbound guests can also experience Noh performances.
