Business Overview
Ningyo joruri is a form of traditional Japanese theater. Among them, I focus on Otome Bunraku performed by a female performer, and I am producing new musical art works by reinterpreting social events, history, memories, and relationships by restoring puppetry from archival materials. This concert presented the possibilities of Ningyo Joruri and beyond with works for electronic sound and instrumental music, which are still rarely performed in Japan: "Tokyo Seventh District" (2017) for piano and computer; "Magnolia no Hana" (2023) for cello and computer; "Drama Queens" (2022) for euphonium and computer; "Partita" (2022) for unaccompanied violin; "Ninin Shizuka" (2021) for shakuhachi and recorder; and new productions for video, electronic sound, and Otome Bunraku in collaboration with Hitomiza Otome Bunraku.
