Business Overview

Bassist Kazuhiro Tanabe, Takashi Seo, and Masao Tajima, a contrabass trio called The Bass Collective, who are mainly active in different genres, performed at Eifukucho Sonorium for the first time. At the same time, Shinya Fukumori and Masao Hanai's label "nagalu" released their first album "Tinkling Forest". They performed about 10 songs such as "Echoes of Moonlight," "Shiroi Owaku," and "Tadazuki wo nagamuru," which were composed by each of the 3 members and made use of the resonance of the strings attached to the instruments. With a unique sound that is different from general ensembles, it will stimulate the Japanese contrabass world, and at the same time, it will transmit to the world the resonance that leads from the primitive to the future.

Profile

[Kazuhiro Tanabe]
A contrabass player active in classical music, Argentine tango and improvisation. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he came to tango and performed with not only domestic tango players but also many young and golden age players from his home country, Argentina. He was greatly influenced by his performance with Toru SAITO, a leading expert in improvisation, and began to search for an approach that utilized improvisation. At present, he is participating in bands such as Naoki Kita Quartet and The Bass Collective, and is working to express the energy of music in his solo performance.
