Business Overview

This project was invited by Rosella Menegazzo, professor of the Department of Cultural and Environmental Heritage of the University of Milan, and was held as a public performance for not only the students of the University of Milan but also the general public. They gave theoretical explanations as well as high-quality noh performances such as otoko-mai (male dance), naka-no-mai (middle dance), shimai (final dance) "Funa Benkei," "Raku," shimai (final dance) "Yakuboshi," ikkan "Banshiki," and "Shishi." Kazuhide HOSHO performed the dance and commentary, Tetsuya KITANI performed the jiutai, and Ryuichi ONODERA performed the fue. Kazuhide HOSHO gave his own commentary in Italian without an interpreter, which was highly praised. He introduced the concepts of 'mitate' and 'margin', which are important for understanding Japanese traditional performing arts and arts, and theoretically proved the high level of staging techniques that Japanese prefer. In addition, he introduced changes in the movement of the body, and encouraged people to experience it not only theoretically but also sensually.
