Business Overview

"Stilllive Studies" is a place to learn about performance for students and those who want to try their hand at performance. It will expand its potential as a platform through theoretical and practical consideration of performance in Japan and overseas, and knowledge production on various physical problems. During the show, Stilllive members will hold workshops, study sessions and talks for attendees based on their interest and experience in performing. In collaboration with the Tokyo University of the Arts' Performance Lab, the company aims to disseminate performance to the general public by opening up opportunities for high school students and adults to experience performance. Each program offers a variety of ways to experience performances and delve into themes such as body, city, politics, gender and community.

Profile

[Stilllive]
Stilllive aims to open up as a performance platform and a place for collaboration. In performance, the body is not only the subject of the work but also always contains the uncertainty and contingency of human beings beyond the work. It proposes the possibility of new expression with the live nature, the anaphoric relationship between the artist's body and the viewer, and the future vision of performance based on the digital environment.
