Business Overview
Since 2020, Furusawa has been producing Waves Etude, a video work featuring seascapes, using a technique that manipulates the time axis of video data. A new work from the Mid Tide series and two new works from the new Slack Tide series will be presented as a solo exhibition consisting of three video works. Mid Tide is an image installation that draws viewers into the development of the image space and the flow of time. Just as the ebb and flow of the tide encroaches on the landscape, this work quietly affects the level of perception of the viewer.

Profile
[Ryu Furusawa]
He majored in oil painting at the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2010, and majored in media imaging at the university's Graduate School of Imaging in 2012. It uses computational manipulation of image media that rearranges time and space, and physical intervention in the image fixation process itself to introduce fluctuations in the visual perception of the viewer. Through this approach, we try to capture the present of visual media in barely visible landscapes. He is also active as a member of the artist collective "Yofu."
