Business Overview

This project was started in 2016 with the aim of creating an environment where people with hearing impairments and normal people can enjoy the same performance together. The Deaf Theater Company of Japan, which has a high reputation for its sign language kyogen both at home and abroad, was invited to perform a sign language kyogen ichiban from its representative repertoire, and a noh ichiban with simultaneous sign language interpretation by the troupe members was held for the first time in the noh world. Especially in 2022, the 6th show, the ultimate form of "sign language Noh" was finally completed, in which all the performers in the show performed in sign language throughout the entire show, which had been partially attempted until now.
