Profile
Sota Okamoto
Born in Kanagawa prefecture
Began classical ballet at the age of 8
03′ Domestic trainee for up-and-coming artists of the Agency for Cultural Affairs
Graduated from the National Ballet School in Berlin, Germany with a Bachelor of Arts degree
After working with the Mecklenburg State Theatre Ballet, Noism1, and the Tchaikovsky Memorial Tokyo Ballet, she is currently working as a freelancer
As a dancer, she has appeared in the works of Kazuyuki Futami, Yasuyuki Endo, and Paul Julius
Her choreographic work includes the Tokyo Ballet <<Choreographic Project I, II>>, The 6th Ballet Tradition, and the Japan Contemporary Dance Company
Presented her performance in Odi Et Amo at SAI DANCE FESTIVAL 2023 Competition
Selected as an invited work of Contemporary Ballet of Asia (Korea)
