Business Overview
Titled “Planets Que: The Case of Y, ” the exhibition focuses on a box designed jointly by artist BIEN and architect Collective GROUP, and a three-dimensional work contained within it. The title of the exhibition, PlanetesQue, was coined by the artist BIEN, and Planetes is a word meaning a person who is bewildered. The elements of various planned coincidences (chances) are scattered in it, and the exhibition is planned to change itself by intention and interpretation as if it were wandering with the unpacker. This time, as the title says, Mr. Y is in charge of developing this work. This is also an attempt to visualize the ideas and delusions that are conjured up from the elements of imagining an undetermined future, such as fortune-telling and lotteries, and a series of assertive symbols, as if deciphering ancient characters, and to draw out the room for interpretation. It is also a common problem definition in Chance Operation, which was inspired by the I Ching by the musician John Cage. It is a lesson in coexisting with social situations and chaos created by weather and disasters. In this way, a plan to think/aim for no plan is held through a temporary art format called an exhibition.
