Aiming to reproduce Hiroshige UTAGAWA's Ukiyoe "Oji Shozoku e no Ki: A Fox Fire on New Year's Eve," volunteers from local stores led the way in creating the 'Oji Fox Parade' in 1993 as a traditional event to welcome the New Year, which continues to this day. Even today, many people gather to welcome the New Year together as an event to convey the feelings of their hometown.
