Business Overview
Maiko Jishi held her first solo exhibition in Canada. Curated by the independent curator Makiko Hara, the venue is Centre A, the only art center in Vancouver that exhibits mainly Asian and Asian immigrant art. Landowners ’ works, created around the time of the coronavirus pandemic, uniquely explore the desire for the possibility of exchanging energy with others through video cameras, and the invisible and layered distance that emerges. The exhibition and public program in Vancouver, a society where diverse racial and cultural backgrounds coexist, provided an opportunity to think more openly about the theme of how we can rebuild a new relationship between ourselves and others in our changing society.
